SpaceX Starship
Starship is SpaceX’s fully reusable two-stage heavy-launch architecture, pairing the Starship upper vehicle with the Super Heavy booster.
Technical basis
The system is built around large stainless-steel vehicles, methane/oxygen Raptor engines, orbital-class reusability, and high payload volume. Its real development program is the direct basis for the 2044 launch fleet in The Mine.
Mapmakers development
By 2044, Starship-derived vehicles have matured into high-cadence infrastructure for moving propellant, machinery, spacecraft modules, and people to orbit. The series does not assume that every cargo Starship becomes a stand-alone passenger vehicle; human transport can use a separate Dragon-derived escape architecture.
