Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk

Fictional or future equipment, with real-world baseline distinguished where applicable

Airframe and mission equipment

The MH-60R is a multi-mission military helicopter developed for naval operations. Its maritime mission system integrates surface-search radar, electro-optical/infrared imaging, electronic-support equipment, tactical datalinks, a dipping sonar and sonobuoys. Rather than treating these as isolated instruments, the integrated system allows the crew to correlate surface and subsurface contacts in a single tactical picture.

Shipboard design

The Seahawk is built for shipboard aviation, including demanding takeoffs, recoveries, stowage and operations in a moving marine environment. The helicopter can conduct anti-submarine and anti-surface missions, maritime search and surveillance, overwater response and support tasks. Mission equipment, defensive systems and weapons configurations vary with operator and refit.

Fictional service distinction

The Mapmakers timeline places MH-60R airframes in a U.S. Coast Guard mission after a former Navy ship is reassigned. That organizational conversion does not change the underlying helicopter’s real-world identity. The fictional service history, markings, command arrangements and 2047-specific payload are not current Sikorsky product specifications.
