Fictional interplanetary defense system assembled from established sensor, launch, guidance, and planetary-defense technologies.
The carrier is not a single invented miracle device. It is an emergency integration of an HLV-4 parent stage, AN/SPY-6(V)1 radar, Aegis-derived fire control, JL-3 missiles, external tracking networks, and internationally controlled strategic payloads.
Real-world basis
Planetary-defense research already studies multiple ways to alter or disrupt hazardous objects, including nuclear options for cases where other methods may be inadequate. Modern work treats the problem through radiation deposition, ablation, fragmentation, trajectory change, and uncertainty rather than through an atmospheric-blast analogy.
Mapmakers development
The fictional engineering challenge is interoperability. Existing systems keep doing jobs they already understand: external networks establish the distant track, SPY-6 refines local tracking, Aegis-derived software coordinates the engagement solution, JL-3 supplies proven high-energy propulsion, and HLV-4 provides the interplanetary carrier, electrical power, communications, cooling, and attitude control.
The complete architecture is temporary by design and subject to international custody and accountability rather than becoming a permanently recoverable independent strategic system.
