M1A2 Abrams
The established U.S. Army Abrams variant serving during the 2035 events of Paso del Norte and appearing again in The Holy Land.

Overview
The M1A2 is the U.S. Army’s principal Abrams main battle tank, combining heavy protection, high mobility, advanced fire control, crew networking, and a 120 mm main gun in a platform designed for direct combat against armored and fortified threats.
Mapmakers usage
In Paso del Norte, M1A2 Abrams tanks provide the armored component of the U.S. response at the southern border. They appear again in The Holy Land as the other Abrams tanks operating alongside Maddox’s newer M1E3. The M1A2s remain mature, conventional U.S. Army main battle tanks, while the M1E3 represents the later modernization entering service.
Technical character
The series treats the M1A2 as a mature continuation of the Abrams line rather than a speculative redesign. Its battlefield value comes from the same core combination that defines the family: armor, stabilized firepower, mobility, thermal sights, integrated communications, and a trained four-person crew.
