MAPMAKERS TECHNOLOGY REFERENCE
ISAA Launch-Control Console
A fictional multinational custody-and-authorization console that inserts International Strategic Arms Authority control into the nuclear-release chain.
Nuclear-command hardware · Fictional system · In service by 2037

Technical basis
The concept is grounded in permissive-action links, cryptographic authentication, two-person control, tamper evidence, independent custody, fail-safe denial, authenticated command paths, and positive control over strategic weapons.
Mapmakers configuration
The console does not independently launch a weapon. It provides one required authorization layer inside a multinational release chain, preserving national command authority while making unauthorized unilateral use mechanically and procedurally impossible.
