Heckler & Koch G36
The G36 is Heckler & Koch’s 5.56×45 mm gas-operated service-rifle family, built around a rotating bolt, extensive use of polymer components, and modular variants.
Technical basis
The real rifle family combines light weight, a folding stock, detachable magazines, and a conventional gas-operated locked-breech action. Its long service history makes its presence in 2044 unremarkable.
In The Mine
CSRC’s locally hired guards at Kismayo carry G36 rifles. The weapons are conventional; the narrative distinction is between armed local guards who surrender and veteran security consultants who choose to fight.
